Harvest Fields Community Church is a denominationally unaffiliated church. It is our purpose to be unhampered by the restrictions and decisions of other churches or denominations that would determine the ministry and message of our church.

Vision Statement
We believe that our ministry is the beginning of something new God desires to do in the Bronx. God has called us to function as a spiritual refuge for those who have been marginalized and hurt by life. Harvest is a place of new beginnings and second chances where we work together to heal and discover God’s purpose for our lives. We are committed to take this ministry beyond these four walls so we can serve our communities. We strive to engage a watching world through a lifestyle of worship.

Church Origin | EST 2000
In May 2000, Reverend Mitchell Torres departed the Church of the Revelation in the Bronx to church plant.
In June 2000, Harvest Fields Community Church was established by Rev. Mitchell Torres.
The name "Harvest Fields" represents our focus to reach the marginalized and underserved inner city communities.
Harvest Fields Community Church was established as a Christian, Non-Denominational church.
In 2000, the first worship service was held at the Jacobi Hospital sanctuary. Due to the rapid growth of the congregation, relocation became necessary.
In 2000, the church relocated to Stratford Avenue, which was known as the "worst block” for crime. The congregation labored faithfully at this location for 7 yrs.
By 2007, Harvest was home to approximately 200 members.
In 2007, the 2626 East Tremont property (which was a former Mason Lodge) was purchased by Harvest Fields Community Church. The building was sanctified and dedicated by the HFCC church leaders to Jesus for His plans and purposes to Reveal God, Reach People and Restore lives with the Gospel truth.
As of 2022, the church was home to approximately 700 church members.
In 2022, the ethnic demographic of church attendees were 68% Hispanic, 30% Black and 2% Other
Currently, 15% of our members attend Harvest online on social media platforms.
